That may not be the answer you were looking to hear, but it’s the answer you deserve. Will it be ready in 2021? If I were to guess, I’d say it’s not very likely. So what happens now? What’s on the horizon for Toontown Offline in 2021? Rest assured, we are consistently working on our huge Operation: Seek Out Scrooge update. We’ve used so much content given to us in the Pandora and Anesidora leaks, including the contents of the Toontown Beta Disc released by Joe Schochet. And as you most likely know, we sure as heck took advantage of all these leaks had to offer. It came in the form of never-before-seen assets, original source code, and a snapshot of what Toontown was like in it’s Beta days. Despite being nearly a decade since the original game closed, we were treated to a plethora of leaks and content from the game’s history. Without a doubt, 2020 has been the biggest year for Toontown history yet. There are many things we have to be grateful for this year, specifically when it comes to the Toontown community. Things will improve.Ģ020 hasn’t been all doom-and-gloom, though. And whether that happens in 2021 or beyond, just know we’re all in the same boat. We at Toontown Offline wish to put out a statement to all of our fans we can do this. Not being able to go out and see your friends, attend real-life events, or even learn in an actual classroom. Enough of that though, let’s get into today’s post- the final Toontown Offline blog post of 2020.īefore going any further, we’d like to bring attention to the hard times we’ve all experienced this year.

They never got a Beta 1 release.Hey there everyone! Do you ever get tired of the greetings in these blog posts? After a while, I find myself struggling to come up with something that sounds different enough from the last time, so from here on out I think we’ll just stick to the same greeting for every blog post.

I feel bad for any Mac users who never got to experience Mini-Servers.

Once Beta 1 is taken off of the Downloads list on the official website, who knows? I might put a download link on this website. I know many more Mini-Servers will spawn as Beta 1 continues to circulate. With this being said, this will not kill this list. As stated by Logano: "the rest of the development team and I are currently discussing the possibility of an official mini-server that will be available to serve a limited number of people at one time in a future release." Due to this, and the fact that you cannot really administrate/moderate these servers, even if they're your own (there's no ban or kick functionality), this would make ultimate sense as to the fact of the removal of the Mini-Server feature.īut there's a lighter side to this.

Due to this, we feel that they have caused more trouble than they are worth, and are an overall detriment to the community." Now why would he say such a thing? Well, you should note that some servers have been attacked by hackers. As to why it was removed, the original leader of the project, Logano, has stated: "Mini-Servers cannot be regulated. So what's the big news, you may ask? Well, as of Beta 2, the Toontown Offline staff will be removing Mini-Server compatibility. There wasn't a lot to add, so I decided to add an updates tab. I actually got around to updating this after 2-3 months.

UPDATE (): I've decided against the forums idea. UPDATE: I forgot to add the required Panda3D to this post. I wonder if it will actually get people on. I'm considering on having a new forum for Toontown Offline that's linked to this site. It will however be much slower since they also shutdown their website. That release is also called "Cog Gear." The original Toontown Offline also had a canceled release called "Cog Gear" that killed the project for the first time. I would've reuploaded it anyways due to the removal of Mini-Servers in their next release.

The staff have taken down the website as well as the downloads. Don't freak out just yet.
